Julie Hasken is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) working at the UNC Nutrition Research Institute. Her work involves assisting in the coordination and implementation of epidemiological studies of the prevalence, characteristics, etiology, and prevention of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) in the United States. As a graduate student, she was involved in multiple tobacco prevention and control initiatives as well as other program development and evaluation projects. Julie received her BS in Health Science from Truman State University and her MPH from UNC in 2012.
