Congratulations to Seth Noar and Allison Lazard for their contributions to a newly published special issue of Health Communication on “Communication Research about Tobacco Regulatory Science.” The issue was co-edited by Seth Noar along with Joseph Cappella from Annenberg’s School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. It is the first special journal issue focused on communication regulatory science, an emerging field that has major potential to inform the Food and Drug Administration’s effective communication strategies around tobacco prevention and control. The issue was supported by the National Institutes of Health and Food and Drug Administration. The 11 articles in the special issue are all open access.
