Allison is a first year doctoral student in Health Behavior and Health Education. She intends to pursue research that explores how the tools of communication and marketing can best be applied to public health promotion efforts. With her background in both community health education and marketing research and strategy, Allison’s goal is to understand how to talk about health in a way that prompts behavior change among diverse target audience segments. She currently directs health and healthcare strategy projects for a Chapel Hill-based marketing firm.
