Reikan Lin is pursuing a Master of Public Health degree in Health Behavior with a Graduate Certificate in Interdisciplinary Health Communication at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to UNC, he worked as a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention field assignee at the Florida Department of Health for two years. His primary role was to lead statewide strategies prevent falls-related injuries among older adults. Major projects included the implementation and evaluation of an evidence-based tai chi program and a statewide educational webcast.
Reikan is interested in improving health behaviors through effective message design for interventions, campaigns, and policy change. He is also interested in the diffusion of innovations applied to health and how to effectively frame health behaviors to be attractive choices for both individuals and for policymakers.
Outside of the workplace, Reikan is an avid distance runner, frequently involved in the local running community.
