As an undergraduate, Dannielle worked as an intern for the Center for the Convergence of Physical Science and Cancer Biology at Arizona State University where she acquired her interest in cancer communication research. She continued to pursue and refine her research interests as a MPH student at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she worked on multiple research projects in cancer prevention and control that focused on social support, information interventions, post-treatment health and needs, and survivorship. Combining what she has learned from her previous experience, Dannielle’s current research focus is health communication via mass media campaigns to promote healthy behavior change for cancer prevention and control.
