Diane is a doctoral student at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is interested in improving health outcomes among Black and immigrant populations, and is particularly interested in the effects of cross-border flow of health information. Prior to graduate school, Diane worked as a research assistant at UNC’s School of Medicine Center for Infectious Disease on a mass media campaign to reduce sexual concurrent partnerships–a key determinant in HIV transmission–among young African Americans.
