The IHC master’s track offers a broadened program to include the study of how to effectively communicate with diverse audiences about health issues. Students will learn about the possibilities of traditional as well as electronic forms of media and the psychology of persuasion.

Electives are offered under the IHC master’s track in four areas: Information Science, Medical and Science Journalism, Public Health, and Social Marketing. Students can select any combination of three courses from these or other relevant courses numbered 400 or above with approval of the faculty advisor.
